Dubai

Hi! I am Ji Kyoung. I am talking about my best journey which I've experienced in my life.

I travelled Dubai with my family in last summer. when I arrived in Dubai, I felt like very interesting about airport. because there were so many people and I saw like a shower bath in front of the entrance of the airport. So, we got wet with water. I was a little bit shocked, but it was funny. so we moved quickly. While I was taking in the car toward the hotel, I saw lots of the newest type of buildings and beatiful sea. It had quite different aspects. some of the place was very new , the other side was very poor. But around the road, there were full of trees and flowers. It was so beatiful. A few hours later, we arrived in our hotel. Also there were stunning beach in front of our hotel and so many shopping center near our hotel. After we had lunch in hotel, we went shopping. Most of the price was very cheap and nice. As you know, in dubai is tax free. so we could buy something more cheaper than the original price. Then in the dinner, we visited Burj-Al-Arab which is one of the most famous hotel in the world. I couldn't believe it! Here I am!

However we needed to an entrance card for going inside. It was very strict about visitors. When I went inside, there was very high the water spout in the center of the building and it surrounded an aquarium around the wall. As if I was under the sea, I felt. I looked around there and had dinner in the restaurant where was the top of this building. It was so fantastic and amazing. There were many kind of foods and drinks. In there, I met one Korean chef, who was appeared on TV. I was so happy to meet him in Burj-Al-Arab and very proud of him. We chatted for a moment. After that, I enjoyed the best dinner with my family. I never have forgotten this trip in my life. I know Dubai is very long long trip. but I have good experience and memories.

A Trip to Brighton

Hi, I'm Ivy. I would like to share my trip experience of Brighton with you. I took my trip two weeks ago. We bought return tickets for the trip on the internet. My boyfriend and I got up very early because we had to catch the train. However, when we arrived the train station, the train was just pulled away. Then we found it is very expensive to buy one way ticket on the station. So we decide to take a coach to Brighton.

When the coach arrived, we found the coach station is very near the beach. On the beach were a lot of small rocks, so it was warm to lie down. We both lay on the beach and watch the clouds on the sky. On the coast there was a place called Brighton Pier and there were some entertainment facilities. We took a pendulum facility, in which we were able to see the sea from a high place when it swan to the highest point. It was amazing, to see the stunning view in the air. In the afternoon, we ate fish and chips. It was much better than what I ate in London center, and I think maybe because it is near the sea. After then, we walked to Brighton Lanes and took a window shopping. There were a lot of interesting shops in Brighton Lanes, and it was very comfortable place to walk. We walked to the clock tower at the top of North Street. It is the center of Brighton. Finally we want to the train station and came home. At night, I remembered I dream about becoming a bird flying over the sea, which might be caused by the photo below.

Hi

How is everyone?

Two weeks ago I did a trip with some friends to Bath. It's was a very nice place and there was a Cathedral which was very old and beautifull. Also we went to Salisbury and Stonehenge which were very close from Bath. In Stonehenge we saw these ancients and mythical stones which were place in a very beatiful landscape.

After this we returned to Bath and we went to a party whit another friends, there we had a lot of fun!. On Monday we returned to London by train, it took us one hour an a half.

Finally I think that was a very nice trip, and the group of friends was very good. I suggest going there because is very near to London and also very beatiful.

Sofia

Cotswolds-countryside of UK

In April, I went to the countryside of England called cotswolds to escape from London.
I could get some fresh air, see lots of animals, and lovely cottages and spend a quiet time there.

The journey was about 2 hours from Paddington in London to Moreton-in-Marsh by National Rail. I could see some sheeps and cows through the windows.
Moreton-in-Marsh is one of the villages in Cotswolds. When I arrived there, I was really impressed by lots of cottages.
I decided to visit Chipping Campden where we can see old beautiful cottages, and it's quite near the National Rail Station.

The most important thing that I must tell you all is public transport is very poor in cotswolds. Buses come only 1 time in 1 hour. On sundays, there is no buses!
When we walk from one villege to another, it takes about 3 hours.
Best transport to visit around in cotswolds is driving. I saw a lot of cars going so fast!
Anyway, I got in Chipping Campden by bus.

In Chipping Campden, there is an very old church which was built in 15th century. I walked around the villege, and saw many old cottages which use a kind of straws as a roof.
I went a old pub to have a dinner. I had cottage pie there. I stayed one night in B&B.

Isle of wight

On this bank holiday I went to the Isle of wight with my homestay's parent. At 7:00pm we arrived portsmouth and took the ferry to went this fantastic place where my firend recommended me to visit.

This is my first time to take the ferry. By ferry i saw a lot of beautiful scenic such as shining sea, fresh wind and portsmouth seaport.

After 40minutes . we arrived the isle of wight. Then we went to the hotel which we already booked. although the house was old,it is very comfortable. When we lived there we felt satisfied. There was a picture which is the dining room in our house.

The next day, we took the scenic route along the coust by car. The first place was hyde seaview which was very beautiful. In this place we can see the bule sky. some shafts of light that i can sometimes saw when the shadows cost by clouds.

Then we wnet to the town called shanklin. this was a traditional town. we saw a lot of old architetrues and traditional house.

Isle of wight was a very good place to visit . I realy recommanded you to visit there.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza,Tokyo - wonderful experience

I want to introduce the hotel that I really recommend. This was the 1st time that I went alone to Tokyo, Japan last September. In the meanwhile, I lived in the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza (三井ガーデンホテル銀座). I really like to live this. I strongly recommend this hotel. If I have a chance to visit Tokyo, I definitely choose this hotel to stay.
There were several reasons that I chose the hotel to lived at that moment. The 1st one was the hotel designed by Piero Lissoni, an Italian designer. I like furniture with white and brown color. It means simple and warm for me. However it has the opulence of the stylish room and fine cuisine. When I arrived at night, the hotel view was fantastic. I could see the tower of Tokyo and the rainbow bridge and be shining all night.
The 2nd was the convenient transportation. The hotel is near the underground station. When I left the hotel, I just walked 5 minutes to Shimbashi station, which has the JR line and the local line, or Ginza station. I could visit the interesting places without wasting my time. For example, if I wanted to visit Roppongi, I just walked to Ginza station to take the Hibiya Line and it only spent 5 or 10 minutes.

The 3rd reason was Ginza itself which is one of the main shopping areas. There are some famous department stores, luxury brands, Pharmacies, and restaurants. It is the same as Oxford Street. Whatever you want, you can find in Ginza absolutely. Especially I really like sashimi and sushi, there is a well-know fish market near Ginza. I could walk to market about 10 or 15 minutes and have a delicious and fresh sashimi to be my breakfast.

If you want more details about the hotel, you can visit the website (http://www.gardenhotels.co.jp/). You may contact the hotel by phone because the assistants of the hotel can speak English fluently, and this was the last reason that I love the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza so much.

You can include information like what there is of interest to see and do there, why you think it's a good place to visit and how to get there. Try to attach a photo too.
